AMTC’s unique Bridge Training Program was developed to prepare God’s performers to shine in the entertainment industry. But what if performing on stage does not become an AMTC’s grad destiny? Is The Bridge still beneficial?
Whether grads become teachers, doctors, plumbers, or movie stars, they’re still performing. Whether they become real moms or play one on TV, AMTC grads have an edge. Every child of God has a destiny to fulfill. God’s intends for each of His ambassadors to set an example.
In this world, we are judged by how we look, walk, talk, and act—no matter the role we play. If we master the skills of styling, posture, poise, self-confidence, public speaking, and right behavior, we will excel in any position God places us.
Training in the performing arts gives an undeniable advantage to His people—enabling them to stand up and stand out, which increases the witness of Jesus Christ.
Fashion models from many countries work all the time in New York and the U.S. The NY agencies will assist in the Visa procurement and are quite familiar with the process from that point of view. In fact, there are probably more foreign models who are NY fashion models than those from this country.
AMTC is not responsible for assisting with citizenship or attaining a work-related visa. It is the responsibility of the performer to work this out independently with their interested agency. AMTC fully respects the Representing Talent Agency’s right to accept or decline a performer on the basis of their citizenship.
In brief, for an individual to accept employment in the United States, he/she must have permission from the Department of Homeland Security (“DHS”): either be in the green card process or have a specific visa available which has been approved. There are several types of visas that are available – and for actors/performers, the most common is the P visa. This process can take a while, and the person cannot start employment without the approval of the work visa. The work visa is for a limited amount of time, and is only good for the employer requesting the visa.
